Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi reveals that he is not interested going to Thailand GP in next year. He claims Buriram circuit was not very good when he went there.
Thailand venue has hosted the Superbike World Championship since 2015. It was designed by Herman Tike in 2014. The venue is also a stage for the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup. In the Dorna’s files for several years, the Asian destination would even have a date for the MotoGP calendar.
According to the report, during the overseas tour at the end of the season, the all riders will compete in the Buriram circuit in 2018. It is already announced by its Dorna’s chairman, Carmelo Ezpeleta.
“If from 18 goes to 19, it doesn’t change the world,” Ezpeleta said. “But if it’s possible to remain 18, I’m more happy.” he added.
With more than 350 starts, 114 wins, 9 titles and an unparalleled popularity, Rossi reveals that he is not very interesting with the Buriram circuit but if the riders have to compete, he will do it with his rivals in this season.
“The track is not interesting. It’s very boring, there are not many turns, especially straight lines.” Rossi said. “I think this is not the best place to go. The main problem is, I have been there two times with Yamaha.
“And it’s also a bad choice because the track is far from everything. But if we have to go, we will go.” Rossi added.

Repesol Honda rider Marc Marquez says he will enjoy with the new tracks but still don’t know what the kind of the plan in the future.
“I don’t know the plan in the future, but maximum 20 races will already be the limit for the riders.” Marquez said. “But, ok, Thailand is something new, I like new tracks. Always when we go to new tracks I feel good. So why not?” the reigning champion added.
