For a second day in a row, Lance Stroll was unable to bring his Williams car back to the pits without damage. The 18-year-old lost control of his car just after the straight out of the pits, while he was in the heat-up on Wednesday afternoon. Without going into the specifics, the principal indicated that it was a mechanical problem.
For his second day as Formula 1 official driver, Lance Stroll came out twice from the track, which made him total three errors in two days. The Canadian was able to ride a hundred laps, which is quite positive, and work at a good pace, but his day ended for good when the front end of the FW40 crashed into the tires.
“It’s a shame that it happened at the end of the day. We are seeing what happened but it was a bit of a surprise but it happened at the end of the day and we still Could work, the team is quite happy with this day,” he told media.
