Contested for his first year at Paris Saint-Germain, Unai Emery reported has already reached an agreement with AS Roma with a 3-year contract to replace Luciano Spalletti next seaon. Despite everything, the future of the Spanish manger would still depend on PSG management because of his contract until June 2018.
Having arrived last summer from Sevilla to replace Laurent Blanc, Emery had a tough season at the PSG with a fiasco in the knockout of the Champions League and domination challenged on the national stage by AS Monaco.
Since his team shock’s 6-1 defeat against Barcelona in the second leg of last 16 Champions League Emery is under dangerous. Despite the declarations of PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to support him, Emery plays his head at this end of the year with the Ligue 1 and the Coupede France to win after the crown in the League cup. Behind the scenes, former Sevilla manager would still ensure his back.
At the same time, speaking to the media AS Roma sport director denied about their future with PSG manager. “I spoke with him lately but it was not about our future together in the medium or long term. I wish him well to continue many years at the PSG because it will mean that he is doing very good things,” said Monchi.
