Real Madrid renews interest in Man United keeper David De Gea

Real Madrid could try again to sign David De Gea from Manchester United before the transfer window closes. The Spanish and European champions’ interest in De Gea has been reignited after coach Zinedine Zidane decided that his team does not need another outfield Galactico after failing to land Kylian Mbappe from Monaco. Real Madrid may make a move for David De Gea. Real Madrid have missed out on landing Kylian Mbappe. The progress of attacking midfielder Marco Asensio, 21, has convinced Zidane to abandon plans to recruit another striker.

Instead, Real are looking at sealing their long term pursuit of the Spain international keeper with a bid of around £46million. De Gea nearly signed for Real in 2015 before an administration error meant his paperwork missed the transfer deadline. United are also considering a £55m move for Monaco wideman Thomas Lemar, 21. The Red Devils are also still keen on bringing in Inter Milan ace Ivan Perisic – as the transfer saga has continued to drag on this summer. Despite their thrashing of the Hammers, Jose Mourinho is still determined to strengthen his side and he is battling with Manchester City to sign Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis. Marco Asensio has stepped for Real Madrid at the start of this season. Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is happy with the outfield players he has. Thomas Lemar is now a target for Manchester United. Mourinho has also opened the door for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to return to Old Trafford.

The free agent was released by the Red Devils after last season as he recovers from a knee injury. But the Special One is set to offer the forward a coaching role as part of his new deal. Zlatan Ibrahimovic hopes he can battle back and earn a new contract with United

Madrid infamously failed to sign De Gea two years ago — reportedly due to a dodgy fax machine — but are hoping to prove more successful this time around. With Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane having decided that he does not need a new outfield signing after the club’s failure to land Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, goalkeeper De Gea has become his No. 1 target. The La Liga champions are preparing an offer of around £46 million to submit to United and are hopeful that will be enough to secure the Spain international’s signature two years down the line.
