Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan managed to beat Jason Anthony Ho-Shue/Nyl Yakura from Canada with a score of 21-12, 21-11 in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic badminton match.
The Ahsan/Hendra vs Ho-Shue/Yakura match is the first match of Group D badminton men’s doubles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics which took place on Saturday (24/7/2021).
Competing at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, Tokyo, Japan, Ahsan/Hendra as the second seed did not encounter significant difficulties to beat Ho-Shue-Yakura. The Daddies, nicknamed Ahsan/Hendra, only needed 27 minutes to win the straight game with a score of 21-12 and 21-11.
The two pairs played fast games at the beginning of the first game. After a draw at 5-5, Ahsan / Hendra increased the pressure and managed to win six consecutive points.
This made Ahsan / Hendra raced with an 11-5 advantage in the first game interval.
