Alex Albon, ex-Red Bull Formula 1 driver, believes that “wallowing” will not help him. He thinks there is no point whinning over lost seat. He must put efforts to finds himself on the driving seat again.
Red Bull had replaced Pierre Gasly with Albon, because the team was not convinced. The driver was returned to AlphaTauri formerly known as Toro Rosso.
Recently, they have onboarded Sergio Perez for 2021. He replaced the Thai driver, who also failed to convince the bosses against Mercedes.
The British-Thai driver is retained as a reserve and test driver this year with the Red Bull F1 team. He believes that it provides an opportunity to convince the team and its bosses for another chance at driving seat.
On Monday, Albon spoke to limited media and shared his thoughts on the matter. He maintained that he has put the incident behind his back. While he completely focus to find himself a seat at either of the team, Red Bull or AlphaTauri.
Albon shared his experience and commented on how he dealt with the sad news. He said: “It was disappointing and it is always going to be disappointing because this is our dream.
“But very quickly it was one of those things where there’s no point feeling sorry for yourself. You’ve got to get back into it and do as much as you can to get back.

“My goal of course is to be back in a seat next year, and just be ready for this year as well. You never know what’s going to happen in terms of fitness or with COVID around.
“This winter has been kind of making sure that I’m as ready as I can be, being as fit as I can, doing all the simulator stuff. And yes, even hopefully we get a few days where I can drive, and do some tyre tests and things like that.”
Albon adopted the positive aptitude toward the incident and believes to have another chance in 2022.
Albon, on positive mindset, said: “It’s something I’ve carried with me since a very early age, [which] is ‘what can I do right now that gives me a better chance or is beneficial to me?’
“And the way I see it is that if you do wallow around, you’re not doing anything to open any doors or to get a seat back.
