On the 6th day of the Premier League, Arsenal defeated a 2-0 over West Bromwich on Monday night thanks to a double from striker Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman becomes the first Gunner to score in his first three home games since 1998.
Lacazette gave Arsenal the lead on 20 minutes after heading home Alexis Sanchez ‘s free kick. The 26-year-old striker, who bought this summer doubled Arsenal’s lead thru a penalty kick in the 67th minutes.
Lacazette penalty goal presents a new record for Arsenal due the London team scored the 100th goal thru penalty kick in the Premier League tournament. The record makes Arsene Wenger’ side join Liverpool and Chelsea.
This deserved a few praises from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. However, Wenger wants more from his striker in the future.
“I believe that he is getting stronger in every game, he is young and has just arrived in England, but the physical demands are very high and he still needs to improve to hold 90 minutes.” Wenger said BBC.
“He is not only a goal scorer, his ability to build attack is also good. He also wants to fight, he is not worried about the physical strength that West Brom showed us and overall he seems able to adapt very quickly and well.” Wenger added.
The French manager added that Lacazette has equalities to the legend Ian Wright but still has to add more competitive to his game to really match Ian Wright.
“Yeah, there are equalities. Maybe he is a bit less aggressive than Ian Wright but hopefully he will get that because in England you have to survive.” Wenger said.
“Up front is a very tough position because you get harsh treatment sometimes. But he looks to have ability and overall I believe if the team plays well he looks always to be at the end of some interesting movements.” he added.

Out on Champions League for the first time since 1997, Arsenal will need a great Lacazette this season to find the trophy next year and face the fierce competition of the English Top 6.
If his beginnings are more than promosing, the former Lyon player knows it, he will still have to prove to definitely put everyone in agreement.
