Andrea Dovizioso says sorry for Rossi when he battles at Misano GP

Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso will have waited a long time to reveal the full extent of his talent but now he has tasted the flavour of victory and seems to be able to do wihout it.

Impressed by building his weekend step by step, Dovizioso gives each week lessons of technical realism that impress the competition. And it is now in Misano, a few cables from his home, that the leader  of table standings will have to overcome his rivals.

Speaking to media, Dovizioso said he will be excited to battle at his home without the legend Valentino Rossi this weekend.

“Coming to Misano as a championship leader is just fantastic. I’m also sorry for Valentino. The battle would have been seen nice here against him.” Dovizioso saaid.

“This circuit has not been very favorable to Ducati in the past, but a few weeks ago we made good tests and we are in full form. We will try to get the best result possible, “ he added.

There’s another block of history at standings as well as the title fight, if Dovizioso wins, the Italian will be only the second Italian rider to win both races on home ground in one season, matching to his fellow Rossi.

Rossi, meanwhile, had marked at Misano with a cross in the calender and he had even claimed he would have liked to fight untul the last round against his main rivals Dovizioso, Marquez, and his team-mate Vinales.

Injured heavily, the 38-year-old will have to follow the competition through the television. It now remains forhim to try return as soon as possible even though it also seems unnecessary to take too many risks.
