Anthony Joshua Reveals when Tyson Fury Fight is Likely to Happen

Anthony Joshua revealed that his clash with Tyaon Fury was likely going to land in June 2021, and he can’t wait to be the “undisputed” heavyweight champion.

The 31-year-old boxer currently holds the IBF World Heavyweight, WBO World Heavyweight and WBA Super World Heavyweight championships.

“June should be the date. Trust me. For the fans, for the people that have been calling it on for many, many months.” Joshua said.

“Shoutout to Fury and his team as well, hungry go-getters, that’s what we are. UK stand up. And to the world, we’re bringing it. I can’t wait. Undisputed,” Joshua added.

Joshua’s last fight took place against his mandatory challengwr Kubrat Pulev on 12th Dec 2020, at Wembley Arena, in London, United Kingdom. He won by knockout in the 9th round.

Meanwhile Fury has been out of the ring for over a year. He fought in February 2020, when he knocked out American Deontay Wilder in the 7th round, and capturing the WBC championship heavyweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The two sides have traded contracts and they are looking to finalise the terms of the showdown targeted to take place on a date in June.

“It’s enough the swapping of words between us on Twitter, now it’s all about securing the fight, putting on a good show and using my energy to lift people up, not knock them down. I know I can beat Fury. I believe it and I intend to prove it.” Joshua said.

“So in June, I’m looking to defend my titles and I plan to add one more. I want to meet all challenges. I set myself the goal of becoming the undisputed heavyweight world champion. That’s what I’m chasing. I was born for this and I will definitely achieve it.” he added.
