Antonio Conte’s future at Tottenham Hotspur is increasingly unclear. Now, the team nicknamed The Lilywhites is reportedly interested in proposing to former Bayern Munich coach, Julian Nagelsmann.
As is well known, Julian Nagelsmann has just been sacked by German giant Bayern Munich on Friday, March 24 2023. Interestingly, only briefly being unemployed, Nagelsmann immediately entered the radar of a Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Sky Sports report reported by ANTARA, Sunday (26/3/2023), Antonio Conte’s situation with Tottenham Hotspur is now full of obscurity. Moreover, the Italian tactician’s contract will expire in the summer of 2023.
Some parties also say that Tottenham Hotspur will sack Conte before the March 2023 international break ends. Which, club officials immediately wanted Julian Nagelsmann as Conte’s replacement.
Previously, Tottenham Hotspur was linked with former Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel. However, Tuchel was finally brought in by Bayern Munich first.
However, according to reports circulating, it is said that Nagelsmann will not immediately accept an offer from Tottenham Hotspur. That’s because he still needs time after the sudden dismissal from Bayern Munich.
Apart from eyeing Nagelsmann, it is reported that Tottenham have been monitoring several potential names to replace Conte’s position when his contract expires next June.
But the controversial press conference held by Conte last week made the club want to speed up plans to replace the Italian coach.
Meanwhile, a number of coach names are increasingly being rumored to be Tottenham Hotspur’s new tactician. These names are Marco Silva (Fulham), Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton), and Vincent Kompany (Burnley).
However, Antonio Conte is also said to be still interested in managing Tottenham Hotspur until the 2022-2023 Premier League is over. The reason is, he has a target to finish in the top four positions and will only think about his future.
For additional information, Tottenham Hotspur is now in fourth place in the 2022-2023 Premier League standings by collecting 49 points. They are two points adrift of Newcastle United who are entrenched in fifth position.
For the next match, Tottenham Hotspur will face Everton in Week 29 of the 2022-2023 Premier League. The match will be held at Goodison Park, Liverpool, Tuesday (4/4/2023).
