Gaming machine innovator Apex Gaming Technology GmbH has announced that the casino inside North Carolina’s Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort has become the first in the United States to specify the iDROPe cash handling solution for all of its live table games. Apex Gaming Technology GmbH stated that Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, which is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and operated by Caesars Entertainment Corporation, evaluated its iDROPe innovation during a nine-month assessment with the technology having passed “with flying colours”.
“Harrah’s Cherokee [Casino Resort] is naturally associated with world-class gaming entertainment,” read a statement from Kubilay Ozer, Global Sales Director for Apex Gaming Technology GmbH. “This customer reference carries great weight and we thank the team there for its forward-thinking and willingness to trial the iDROPe. The results speak for themselves and open the door for the iDROPe to become the standard for cash handling management at live gaming tables in the United States and beyond.”
Ozer explained that his firm’s iDROPe innovation allows dealers to directly accept tickets and bills at a live gaming table. The solution subsequently validates and stores each individually while players are subsequently paid out with tickets that are equivalent to the value of any chips they may have won.
“The iDROPe is potentially the perfect product for our live tables,” read a statement from Ron Hager, Table Games Director for Cherokee-based Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. “Our customers will be able to exchange their tickets or cash directly at the table for chips. They will no longer need to go to the cash desk to do this. And when they wish to cash out, they can receive the value of their chips on a ticket printed by the iDROPe. Our customers will love this service. For us, we are a busy casino and the large capacity cashbox within the iDROPe is another benefit.” Ozer moreover declared that the iDROPe solution can recognize promotional tickets while an integrated intuitive touch screen additionally provides operators with information on every ticket and bill that has been deposited.
“We are seeing our customers move more freely between the slot machines and our live tables,” read a statement from Brent Younce, Regional Games Performance Manager for the 1,100-room Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. “They can use the same ticket for play on both. The iDROPe is simple for our dealers to understand and use. The design is clever and intuitive. This product makes a difference. The trial has given excellent results and now we are specifying the iDROPe on our live table games.”
