Lionel Messi of Argentina says, his preeminent group are “desperate” to stamp their status by winning the Copa America final versus hosts Chile.
The team Argentina was a finalist of World Cup in 2014. They have not won a noteworthy trophy in the last 22 years.
Barcelona forward Messi, 28 years old, said, “This generation is desperate to win a title with the national team.”
“As a team, we deserve to win something and it would mean so much after the World Cup where we came so close.”
Argentina’s crew comprises of Sergio Aguero, Javier Mascherano, Angel Di Maria, Carlos Tevez and Gonzalo Higuain. Aguero of Manchester City commented, “If this generation of players don’t win anything we’re going to regret it for the rest of our lives.”
If La Albiceleste win a 14th Copa American title, they will join Uruguay as the most outstanding team in the tournament’s history.
On the other side, Chile, whose squad consists of Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal, are focusing to conquer the tournament for the first time having ended as runner-ups for four times.
The anchors have also never defeated Argentina in twenty-four shots at the Copa America. However, part of tickets for the competition at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago are being sold for almost £15,000.
Chile’s Barcelona goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo boasted, “For a lot of people, it would be enough to have reached the final. What could be better than winning the Copa America playing at home?”
