Arsenal lack spending, Mikel Arteta: Efforts are being made!

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta commented on his team’s lack of spending activity in the transfer market this summer. He said Arsenal management was trying to get several players to join the Gunners.

Arsenal are rumored to want to strengthen their team this summer. Mikel Arteta needs several new players so that this season they can win the Premier League.

However, so far Arsenal has had minimal player spending activity. They only made permanent the services of David Raya from Brentford and no new players have joined.

Recently, Mikel Arteta confirmed his team’s lack of shopping activity. He said that Arsenal would not remain silent in this transfer market.

Arteta emphasized that Arsenal will buy several players to strengthen their team this summer.

He said the Gunners needed additional strength in several positions so they would try to bring in these players.

“We know very well that there are several positions in our team that need to be strengthened, and there are several positions that lack personnel. So we want to bring in several new players,” said Arteta on Arsenal’s official website.

Arteta himself said that Arsenal management was trying to complete the transfers as soon as possible. But he didn’t want to be fixated on this.

He said that he would maximize the current players while waiting for reinforcements to arrive in this transfer market.

“We will try our best to bring in new recruits. But the most important thing is that we have to focus on the players we have and try to help them play better,” he concluded.

According to rumors circulating, there is one transfer that Arsenal will lock in the near future.

The London Cannon will reportedly secure the services of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, where this transfer could reportedly reach 50 million Euros.

Arsenal are in contention to sign Marc Guehi this summer and they are hoping to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace, with Eddie Nketiah offered as a transfer kicker.

Guehi is still under contract at Selhurst Park until 2026, while the club clearly wants to keep one of their best players, the Eagles have set the player’s price at 70 million pounds.

The Sunday Sport reports that Arsenal are looking to lower that price by offering Nketiah as part of the deal.

Nketiah appeared regularly under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, and performed well enough to win his first England cap last season, but now he is reportedly not part of the coach’s plans.

Palace have long been rumored to be interested in the striker, with Arsenal willing to let him go in January for £30 million, but no deal has happened.

The Gunners are now hoping that interest remains and hope Palace can reduce Guehi’s price by sending Nketiah to Selhurst Park.

Liverpool are also interested in signing the England star after Joel Matip left the club at the end of his contract, although they still have Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez vying for the centre-back spot.

Palace are not under too much pressure to sell Guehi this summer after seeing Michael Olise leave for Bayern Munich for £60 million.

However, they have also brought in a new centre-back, Moroccan player Chadi Riad, from Real Betis.
