Bale Embraces Zidane at the Spanish Champions League Real Madrid

Madrid – It has been known that Gareth Bale and Zinedine Zidane have a bad relationship. The relationship between the two has been heating up since the 2017-2018 season, or in the last season Zidane served as coach of Madrid in the first period (2016-2018).

At that time, Madrid president Florentino Perez intended to sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018. However, the plan was rejected by Zidane. Zizou – Zidane’s familiar greeting – also gave advice to Perez. Rather than selling Ronaldo, Zidane suggested that Madrid release Bale.

Apparently, Zidane’s request above goes into Bale’s ear. Since then the relationship between the two heats up. Even when Madrid met Liverpool in the 2017-2018 Champions League final, Zidane made an unpopular move by backing up Bale.

In short, the Madrid president remained stubborn about his stance, namely releasing Ronaldo in the summer of 2018. As a result, in the summer of 2018 Ronaldo was sold to Juventus for 100 million euros (Rp1.66 trillion). The decision was in fact made Zidane disappointed and decided to leave Madrid in the summer of 2018.

However, within 10 months of leaving Madrid, Zidane returned to the Bernabeu. Zidane’s presence was a disaster for Bale. Since then, Bale understands that he won’t get a lot of minutes when Zidane’s Madrid control.

This season’s statistics also show the above. Despite the status of one of the top footballers, Bale was only dropped 16 times in the Spanish League this season. In fact, a winger who has speeds above average is in top condition.

Even in Madrid’s six recent matches in the Spanish League, Bale was not revealed by Zidane. The French passport coach let Bale freeze on the Los Blancos bench – nicknamed Madrid.

Even so, Bale tried to strengthen his heart. After the match of Madrid vs Villarreal which is the deciding match of the 2019-2020 Spanish League title, Bale still embraced the coach.

It is not impossible, the hug is the last done by Bale and Zidane. Because, it is probable that Bale will continue his career with other clubs in the 2020-2021 season. Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and a number of Chinese Super League clubs are interested in the services of the former world’s most expensive player.

If he does leave Madrid, Bale has left many sweet notes. During seven seasons to defend Madrid, Bale has given 13 trophies and scored 105 goals for the Santiago Bernabeu public.
