Bayern Munich are looking for a top striker after allowing Robert Lewandowski to join Barcelona for a fee of 50 million euro.
According to reports, the Bundesliga champions see Harry Kane as a potential target and will try to persuade the English striker to join the Allianz Arena.
The CEO of Bayern Munich, Oliver Kahn, recent confirmed that the Tottenham striker is on the Gray Lobster’s transfer list.
“Harry Kane still has a contract with Tottenham. Of course, he is a top striker, but we can dream of good things in the future.” Khan said
“Now is the time to build the squad together towards the new season. Everyone’s just waiting to see what happens next.” he added.
Kane’s current contract with the Spurs runs until the summer of 2024. However, the negotiations for an extension are not currently underway.
Manchester City chased Kane hard last summer, but in the end they had to withdraw because they were shouted at by Tottenham for 150 million euro.
Kane has yet to win a major award during his time at Tottenham and is frustrated with the situation, which Antonio Conte admitted when discussing his striker’s future in January.
“I understand Harry’s situation. When you finish your career, you can see your appearances and the teams you made them for but, at the same time, it’s right to see what you have won. This is important, especially for the top, top players.” Conte said.
“I think that when Tottenham brought me here they wanted to send a signal outside, and maybe also to our players.
“We have to try and build a situation where we are all involved and to try to create a situation that we can be competitive to try and win.” the Italian coach added.
Tottenham are in a good position for next season but is still unlikely to challenge Liverpool and City for the title.
