Belgium Must Recognize Morocco’s Excellence Two Goals Without Reply

The Group F match between Belgium and Morocco in the continuation of the Qatar 2022 World Cup which was held on Sunday (27/11/2022) was won by Morocco with a score of two goals without reply.

Two goals for Morocco were scored by Roman Saiss in the 73′ minute and Zakaria Aboukhlal in the 90+2′ minute.

Thanks to this victory, Morocco’s chances of qualifying for the next round are wide open.

In this match Belgium appeared with a 3-5-2 formation.

Michy Batshuayi, who scored the only goal in the previous match and brought Belgium to victory over Canada, was again deployed as the main striker in this match.

On the other hand, Morocco appeared in a 4-1-2-3 formation by relying on their star player Hakim Ziyech in the team’s attack line.

Belgium appeared so dominant for 90 minutes with ball possession reaching 67 percent and making ten shots with three of them on target.

Meanwhile, Morocco had 33 percent possession of the ball and made ten shots with four of them on target.

In the first half, Morocco took the lead in the 45+2′ minute through Hakim Ziyech’s free kick.

But unfortunately the goal was disallowed by VAR because the Moroccan players were caught offside first.

The score ended in a goalless draw in the first half.

In the second half Belgium and Morocco both had many opportunities.

Unfortunately, the poor finishing made Belgium unable to break into the Moroccan goal which was guarded by Munir.

On the other hand, Morocco was able to score through Abdelhamid Sabiri in the 73rd minute.

Abdelhamid Sabiri, who only entered in the 68th minute as a substitute, scored a goal against Courtois via a free kick.

Instead of replying to Belgium’s goal, they conceded again in the 90+2′ minute.

Zakaria Aboukhlal managed to increase Morocco’s lead to two goals thanks to his goal from inside the penalty box through a pass provided by Hakim Ziyech.

The score of two goals without reply lasted until the long whistle sounded by the referee.

Hakim Ziyech was selected as the Man of The Match in this match.

This result leaves Morocco in second place in Group F with four points and the opportunity to qualify for the next round is wide open.

Meanwhile, Belgium is in third place with three points.
