The 2018 Malta iGaming Excellence Awards (MIGEA) provided top online gaming content provider, Betsoft Gaming, with the highest honour during the 2nd annual awards ceremony in late May. The MIGEA occurred on May 25th and Betsoft was given the Best Casino Supplier of the Year award. During the ceremony, companies in the gaming industry were presented with over 20 awards. The MIGEA listed terms that stipulated that for a company to be nominated for an award, they would have had to show a strong connection in Malta. The Best Casino Supplier category included several top brands, but it was Betsoft Gaming the reigned supreme. Betsoft was chosen as the winner by a panel of individuals, ranging from consultants to experts in online gaming, legal firms, and representatives of the Malta Gaming Authority and investment bodies. The company was chosen for the top honour due to their success in creating a quality portfolio of content, including the highly-popular Slots3 titles.
They were also chosen due to their frameworks and platforms, including the Shift HTML5 development environment, Casino Manager back office platform and their new option for extending their presence in markets that are emerging in the industry, known as Vault. Julian Camilleri, the Account Management Director for Betsoft, commented on the award via iGaming Business by stating: “We believe constant innovation leads to cutting-edge content, which means that our teams in Malta and overseas are experienced in reacting to an ever-changing global market.” “I know that everyone here is rightly proud of our Maltese presence and heritage; this small country has always had an impact that far outweighs its size, and we are thrilled to be a part of securing that reputation. Betsoft Gaming continues to offer new gaming content to the industry, even as they were awarded the Best Casino Supplier title. The brand recently announced a new slot game titled, The Golden Owl of Athena, offering operators the ability to provide their customers with a new classic game set to launch at the end of this month, on the 29th.
