Bezzecchi’s Future as a MotoGP Rider

Marco Bezzecchi has been making waves in the MotoGP world with his exceptional talent and promising performances.

As the 2024 season unfolds, Bezzecchi has been showcasing his skills and determination, leaving fans and experts alike eager to witness his future as a MotoGP rider.

Bezzecchi’s success in the 2023 Grand Prix races and his strong contention for the world title led to an offer to join Pramac Racing, the Ducati MotoGP satellite team, for the 2024 season.

This move would have given him access to a state-of-the-art factory Ducati with the latest specifications.

However, Bezzecchi ultimately declined the offer, opting to remain with VR46 Racing despite the knowledge that he would have to contend with a one-year-old machine (GP23) in 2024.

The Italian admitted to struggling with doubts for an extended period and initially found it challenging to make a decision.

“I honestly admit that I had doubts at the time. But I have never regretted my choice and it has no influence on my current performance.” Bezzecchi said.

“It’s always easy to talk afterwards, but I still stand behind my decision.” Bezzecchi added.

Looking ahead to 2025, the clear objective is to secure a position as a factory driver. It’s an admirable goal, but undoubtedly, the Italian has been closely observing his former teammate Luca Marini in recent weeks.

Valentino Rossi’s half-brother made the decision to depart from VR46 Racing and join the Repsol Honda Team, attaining the coveted status of a factory rider.

However, Marini remains the only full-time MotoGP rider who has yet to secure a single World Championship point this year.

“I think I have grown as a driver and I would like to become a factory driver, something that is everyone’s ambition.” Bezzecchi said.

“But I still have to confirm myself as fast and competitive this season to deserve a chance.” he added.
