The race at the Brno circuit quickly cut short in the first lap for Honda wildcard Stefan Bradl. The 28-year-old rider has been blamed for causing the three-bike collision with Yamaha’s Maverick Vinales and Red Bull’s Bradley Smith at Turn 3.
However, the German rider claimed he did not know what was happened and was suffered shoulder after the crash.
“Of course, I am very disappointed because the race ended very quickly for me. I had a good start, but I got to the third corner, I braked – and I suddenly noticed we were falling. Then the collision occurred.” Bradl said.
“It was only on the ground that I realised our situation and the presence of three riders. I didn’t know exactly what was going on. I went later to the Race Direction to find out exactly what happened. But there were no pictures. I’m still imagining exactly what happened.
“I felt a shock, and then I just protected myself to avoid any injury. Unfortunately, I suffer from the right shoulder. I don’t know if I will participate in the test tomorrow, because I have a lot of trouble to move the shoulder.” Bradl added.
It was the second opening-lap multi bike crash in as many races, as Pol Espargaro took out duo of Suzuki Alex Rins and Andrea Iannone at the German Grand Prix.
Franco Morbideli on the other hand, he observed the accident from behind. The Marc VDS rider said the crash was caused Bradl entering Turn 3 too fast and the German braked a bid too late.
“I think Stefan went into corner three with a lot of speed and maybe he braked a bid too late and he lost the front and just made a strike,” Morbidelli said.

“I was a bit scared. The only thing that scares me a little bit is that in the group in the beginning, when you are so far behind, many riders still want to catch positions in the early stages and it can happen that some riders have the same idea of breaking deeper or doing something.
“You have more people in front of you and more things to care about, so it is a bit more dangerous in the early stages of the race. I’d like to just start a bit more ahead to be away from this wild bunch.” Morbidelli added.
Andrea Dovizioso held off Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez to win Czech Grand Prix. The Italian now claimed to third place in the MotoGP standings.
