Bradley Beal leads the list of active NBA trade rumours. Although part of the Phoenix Suns’ starting lineup Bradley Beal faces speculation about potential swaps with Jimmy Butler.
The trigger for the trade clause within Beal’s contract creates challenges for Arizona teams attempting swapping deals.
However, Beal and his wife, Kamiah Adams have reported both disturbing rumours and offensive messages directed at Phoenix fans.
“During the game, a Suns fan spent most of the night taunting my husband. It got so bad that I had to send my kids out in the third quarter. This was after several people asked if we were okay and if I wanted them to say anything,” Kamiah posted on X.
Kamiah added that her children entered the next room where the fan kept assaulting Beal. Suns security personnel finally needed to step in at the gym bleachers.
“The turning point came in the fourth quarter when my kids came back and the fans yelled, ‘Swap that piece of trash Beal for Jimmy Butler.’” Kamiah said.
“My six-year-old son, with tears in his eyes, asked why anyone would say that about his dad,” Kamiah added.
But Beal said that he did not hear the provocations exactly, and that he thought about getting up out of the game to intervene.
“My wife was very calm about it, but my son was right there. She wasn’t having any of it,” Beal said.
“All I saw was my wife and son crying in the front row. That’s not good. Family comes before anything in basketball. I just wanted to make sure she was OK,” he added.
This year Beal has recorded averages of 17.2 points and 3.5 rebounds while handing out 3.3 assists. The numbers he’s posted this season are solid yet they have not met the initial team expectations leading to his shift to rotational bench duties.
