While Bronny James once make history by being in the NBA and then being teammates with his father LeBron James, it seems that the Lakers stint is about to end for Bronny James.
A rookie will be required to move from one team to the other; from the main G League franchise known as the South Bay Lakers.
However, as Shams Charania of ESPN reported, the player is to be traded once the development league starts.
James would sit out on the Lakers bench for the next next six games. He will be with the team on the floor as a visitor for the five games following the match against the Sacramento Kings on the Saturday as well as the match against the New Orleans Pelicans 26.
That’s the case, which also involved a face-off with the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio. Bronny was born in the state and his father was already a sophomore in the NBA.
However, the choice regarding Bronny and which Lakers team he will be on was already in motion.
LeBron and vice president of basketball operations/ general manager Rob Pelinka had it planned even before the onset of the campaign.
“It’s true that our plans are always fluid and can change. But, in general, that’s what we envisioned for him in 2024/25.” Pelinka said.
“That is, a constant movement between Los Angeles and South Bay. So, he will have playing time to develop better and will be able to help us as needed,” Pelinka added.
Already during the Media Day LeBron James has stated that his son might play in the development league one day.
Still, everything is in the personality’s progressive growth, a young shooting guard who entered the team as the Draught’s 55th pick.
