Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Manchester City was reportedly canceled and now the veteran striker is widely rumored to be close to Manchester United.

“Man City have decided to stop negotiations for Cristiano Ronaldo. The player will not join Manchester City. The position of the club was very clear at the last minute,” said Romano.

While ESPN reported, Ronaldo chose to return to Old Trafford because he received messages from several former teammates at Man United.

“Cristiano Ronaldo was convinced to reconsider a return to Man United following text messages from a number of his former team-mates last night.”

Ronaldo’s plan to leave Juventus has made transfer rumors even more intense. After getting closer to Man City, the superstar is claimed to have changed his decision to return to strengthen Man United, his first club in the English League.
