‘Fernando Torres has back to his best’, commented Carlo Ancelloti who was once the Spaniard coach when he bought Torres from Liverpool with then record transfer fee of 50 million pound sterling. The Italian coach has nothing but good word for his ex striker as the Bayern Munich’s next season manager believes that Fernando has find his magic once again.
Carlo Ancelloti believed that Torres is once again an ferocious striker whom will strike the fear in the defenders heart and found his magic back in Atletico Madrid after passing through the worse moment of his career.
Torres was once an Atletico Madrid best striker before his move to English Premier League and join Liverpool, after won the Champions League with the Reds, Torres joined the second English team Chelsea for then English Premier League record transfer fee of 50 millions pound sterling and it was Carlo Ancelloti, the one the brought him to the London side.
However, after his move to the London side, Torres seemed to lost his magic touch as his performance level drop to the point no one can believe, he was struggle to adapt to the London side and could not find his Liverpool’s form. After spent few of the “bad” season in Chelsea, Torres was looked to recuperate his form back by moving to the Serie A giant AC Milan.
However, the 32 years old player was unable to achieve what he wanted in Milan as his performance level is getting even worse. He might totally lose his confident in football as people start to lose their confidence in him too. But now, he was given another chance to raise up once again and ironically it is his first professional team that given him another chance. Yes! it is Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone.
And the trust was well paid by the Spaniard, even though he was not scoring for fun as he once was for Liverpool but the striker had scored some important goal to help Atletico along the season. The only goal in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final against Barcelona was proved to be very helpful to the team from the Spanish capital city.
The fact that he is now once again back to the Spanish national team squad is a proof that Torres had some improvement after him joining Atletico Madrid.
“Torres had another chance to be able to play for the team from the city where he born and improve,” said Ancelloti. “That of course will giving him a boost in his motivation after he had pass through some difficult season.”
“Now, he is back and shine with Atletico Madrid.”
