Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, praised Jude Bellingham. He said Jude Bellingham was superior to the legend of the Brazilian national team, Ricardo Kaka.
Ancelotti himself is known to have coached these two players. Bellingham is also superior in movement without the ball, so he is able to score goals.
“Kaka used to kick into the penalty box with the ball, but he doesn’t have Bellingham’s ability to arrive in the penalty box, without the ball. “That really makes a difference,” said Ancelotti, quoted from Real Madrid’s official website, Tuesday (12/12/2023).
“With Kaka, the system is different, but in general Kaka is very good on the ball and Bellingham’s movement without the ball is very effective.”
The Brazilian legend enjoyed the best years of his career as part of Ancelotti’s AC Milan side in the mid-2000s, winning the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d’Or in 2007.
Kaka is famous for his goal scoring ability. from an attacking midfield role, bagging more than 15 goals in all competitions in four of his six seasons at San Siro before his big move to Madrid.
Although Kaka never found his scoring touch in Spain, he managed to win the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey during his four seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Like Kaka, Bellingham is currently enjoying stunning form under Ancelotti.
The England star has scored 16 goals in 16 games since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
He even broke the record for most goals scored by a Real Madrid player in their first 15 games at the club recently, ahead of Alfredo Di Stefano and Cristiano by scoring 14 goals in all those appearances.
The 20-year-old’s performances have cemented his place among the world’s best footballers and made him an early contender for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
“Not playing with a fixed striker gives (Bellingham) more opportunities to get into the box with more space to shoot. “It’s a different system to Kaka and it’s more difficult for him,” he continued.
“Bellingham’s movements without the ball are very effective,” added Ancelotti.
Yes, Bellingham is currently a goal machine for Los Blancos – Real Madrid’s nickname. Even though he plays as a midfielder, the 20 year old player has scored 16 goals and four assists in 18 matches in all competitions this season.
Bellingham’s brilliant performance has led to comparisons with the former veteran midfielder from Brazil, Kaka. Ancelotti, as the coach who witnessed the two talented midfielders, also spoke.
However, Kaka is still one of the best midfielders to have ever played in Europe. The former AC Milan and Real Madrid player recorded 133 goals and won one Champions League title during his career on the Blue Continent.
