“In a way, I understand how they do it, and it’s actually in their hands, and I’ve been in between them for the past two months, they’ve managed it perfectly. It’s something I have to be very grateful, and I have already expressed it to Helmut Marko.” he added.
The 23-year-old pilot admitted to joining Renault next season and very excited to working with new team at England and France.
“I look forward to working with everyone at Enstone and Viry [Renault team in England and France], and the race alongside Nico Hulkenberg.” Sainz said.
Renault sport managing director Cyril Abiteboul claimed that Sainz is a potential driver to win the F1 battle for next season.
“We feel Nico and Carlos will complement each other on and off track and help us push forwards on the grid,” Abiteboul said.
“The fact that Red Bull were only prepared to let him go as a loan says something about Carlos’ pace.” he added.
