The first goal was scored by Rodri. The player whose full name is Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante was able to get his name on the scoreboard when the game entered the 27th minute. Rodri scored a beautiful goal because his arch kick from outside the penalty box could not be anticipated by Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Then the second goal was scored by Bernardo Silva after following Erling Haaland’s pass in the 70th minute. After that it was Haaland’s turn to score after receiving an assist from John Stones.
With that result, Man City brought good capital to face Bayern at the Allianz Arena in the second leg later.
The rain greeted the kick-off of the Man City vs Bayern match. The home team immediately tried to take over the game in order to score the first goal as soon as possible.
However, in fact Bayern quite often controlled the ball even though it was difficult to kick off. On the other hand, Man City actually threatened the goal of the team nicknamed The Bavarians several times.
Continuing to put pressure on Bayern, Man City finally managed to break into the visitors’ goal thanks to Rodri’s goal in the 27th minute. Rodri, who was free standing outside the penalty box, then comfortably fired a shot which Sommer failed to secure.
Rodri’s shot also looked beautiful because of the curved ball direction which made it difficult for Yann Sommer. After winning 1-0, Man City then continued to put pressure on Bayern.
Tuchel looks annoyed because Bayern are lagging behind. He gave directions to the players of The Bavarians.
However, in the end Bayern still could not score. The 1-0 score for Man City’s advantage over Bayern lasted until the first half ended.
Entering the second half, Man City continued to try to put pressure on Bayern. Of course, Bayern tried to get up and catch up with one goal.
However, instead of chasing, Bayern actually conceded again. This time it was Bernardo Silva who made Yann Sommer’s goal vibrate.
Starting from Upamecano’s mistake, Bernardo Silva was able to get his name on the scoreboard after connecting to a pass from Haaland in the 70th minute.
Six minutes later, it was Haaland’s turn to score. Bait from Stones was able to be maximized by the former Borussia Dortmund striker.
Soon the referee blew the long whistle. Man City won 3-0 over Bayern Munich.
