Chelsea are reportedly interested in getting two AC Milan players in the winter transfer market which opens in January 2021. The two names they are targeting are Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli.
Reporting from the Sportskeeda page, Friday (4/12/2020), until now Chelsea has asked Mino Raiola as Donnarumma’s agent to continue to provide the latest news about the player’s situation.
This is because there were rumors that Donnarumma intended not to renew his contract, which will end in June 2021. In other words, the young Italian goalkeeper is likely to leave at the end of the season.
But on the other hand, previously Donnarumma said that he still felt at home at AC Milan. The 21-year-old goalkeeper also admitted that he was ready if he received an offer to extend his tenure at the San Siro.
“My agent will speak to the club, no problem. I want to stay in Milan for a long time, but we will see the club’s decision. I want to enjoy this moment as long as I can, “said Donnarumma.
However, until now there has been no further news regarding Donnarumma’s contract extension at AC Milan. The team management also hasn’t discussed this with Mino Riola as the player’s agent.
Apart from Donnarumma, the AC Milan player who is also the target of Chelsea is Alessio Romagnoli. The 25-year-old defender is on the shopping radar of the West London team to strengthen their defense next season.
Mino Raiola, who is also Romagnoli’s agent, admits that he still wants to see his players in Milan’s uniform. However, he also doesn’t mind if there is a right offer from another club that wants to propose to Romagnoli in the near future.
Chelsea as an interested team actually brought in several defenders in the 2020 summer transfer market yesterday. Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell who have just landed at Stamford Bridge are starting to show their good form with Jorginho and colleagues.
