Chelsea vs Brighton Result: Score 4-2

Chelsea picked up a sensational victory in the sixth week of the 2024/2025 EPL. Facing Brighton at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea won with a landslide score of 4-2.

All of Chelsea’s winning goals were scored by Cole Palmer in the first half. Meanwhile, Brighton were only able to reduce the score thanks to goals from Georginio Rutter and Carlos Baleba in the first half.

Thanks to this victory, Chelsea rose to third place in the EPL standings with 13 points. Meanwhile, Brighton had to be satisfied with dropping to eighth place in the EPL standings with nine points.

The match held at Stamford Bridge started at a fast tempo. There was an exchange of attacks from the start of the match.

The match had only been going on for seven minutes, Brighton had already opened up the lead in this match. Starting from the melee in front of Chelsea’s goal where Sanchez dueled with Rutter in the air, the ball was successfully headed by the winger into a goal. Brighton won 1-0 over Chelsea.

Chelsea immediately responded. They immediately stepped on the gas to equalize. In the 20th minute, Chelsea successfully equalized to 1-1. Starting from a counterattack, Nicolas Jackson who was one-on-one with the goalkeeper gave a pass to Cole Palmer who was standing free and he managed to put the ball into a goal.

Disaster struck again for Brighton in the 26th minute after Jadon Sancho was brought down in the penalty box. Palmer who was appointed as the executioner successfully carried out his task so that Chelsea turned the score around to 2-1.

Three minutes later, Palmer successfully recorded a hat-trick against Brighton. This time through a free kick scheme, the England national team player managed to direct the ball into the upper left corner of Brighton’s goal and it became a goal. Chelsea led 3-1 over the visitors.

Brighton responded quickly to the goal. Taking advantage of Robert Sanchez’s passing error, Carlos Baleba successfully took the ball and then broke into Chelsea’s goal. The score became 3-2, still for Chelsea’s advantage.

Seven minutes later, Chelsea widened their lead again to 4-2. Receiving a through ball from Jadon Sancho, Cole Palmer moved to the left side and fired a shot from a tight angle and turned it into a goal. The score of 4-2 lasted until halftime.

Despite being two goals ahead in the first half, Chelsea did not lower the intensity of their attacks. They immediately stepped on the gas from the start.

Just five minutes into the second half, Nicolas Jackson almost scored a goal after he managed to beat Verbruggen. Unfortunately, his shot was cleared by Adam Webster in front of the goal.

Not long after, Cole Palmer almost scored his fifth goal using Sancho’s corner kick. However, his shot still went up in the air.

However, entering the middle of the second half, the intensity of the game for both teams decreased. Not many additional opportunities were created to each other’s goals.

Until the second half ended, the score of 4-2 remained for Chelsea’s victory.
