The uncertain team that was present and the absence of a substitute due to visa issues made one of the well-known organizers of Beyond The Summit (BTS) not lack the idea to create an attractive tournament towards the end of the year with the presence of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Summit.
The tournament which was held from December 14 to 16 brought together six teams from the European region and CIS.
Some of the teams that were present were rising teams lately such as NoPangolier who had just made it to Chongqing Major and Alliance, the team that won The International 2013 which was in brilliant performance.
NoPangolier himself showed his dominance in this tournament with three wins and only two won draws from Team Spirit and Vega Squadron.
While the second rank was so fierce with the Alliance and Team Spirit who won the same points. Finally Team Spirit won second place after defeating Alliance in the tiebreaker.
Thanks to these results they faced NoPangolier in the upper bracket. On the contrary, the four other teams namely Alliance, Team Empire Hope, Happy Guys, and Vega Squadron had to fight from the lower bracket.
During the playoffs, Team Spirit managed to show its dominance by successfully defeating NoPangolier which made them successfully qualify for the grand final.
NoPangolier which contains the former Odium player, CemaTheSlayer and Ghostik finally made it to the grand final after successfully defeating Team Empire Hope with a score of 2-0.
The Grand Final took place so exciting with NoPangolier who successfully took the first two games.
Even though it only requires one more victory to become a champion, Team Spirit doesn’t just give up. Io and Luna’s combo in the third game succeeded in making Fng and friends extend their breath in the grand final.
Finally Team Spirit successfully won after they successfully took the last two games. Interestingly they use the same hero in the last two games namely Earth Spirit, Rubick, and Brewmaster. This result made them bring home US $ 8,000. And and NoPangolier bring home 4900 USD which is quite good considering I Can’t Believe It’s Not Summit! is an online tournament where at the same time Team Spirit is also struggling in the MegaFon Champions League Season 2 which ends in 3-4.
Even though there are not many tournaments towards the end of the year but one of the leading organizers, WePlay! will hold Winter Madness which is held December 27 to January 5, 2019.
