His contract with PSG only has one year remaining, meaning that if until the end of this season Mbappe has not extended his contract then Mbappe can go anywhere for free next season, and PSG could suffer a huge loss. However, PSG will still try to keep the French national team star player.
Meanwhile, the Real Madrid camp has tried to negotiate with PSG, they are reported to have sent a bid proposal to PSG to try to bring in Kylian Mbappe in the transfer market last summer. Initially, it was reported that Real Madrid had made an offer to PSG with a value of 160 million euros or around Rp. 2.7 trillion. However, PSG rejected the offer on the grounds that the price was still not enough to charge a Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid did not just give up trying to get the young star’s signature. The team based at the Santiago Bernabeu continues to try by increasing the nominal value that will be offered to PSG. Until the last day of the transfer market last summer, Real Madrid finally issued their final offer.
With a fairly fantastic value, Real Madrid made an offer to PSG at a price of 220 million euros, equivalent to Rp. 3.7 trillion. Real Madrid has really proven that the club with the most UCL trophies is very intent on bringing Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu and into the Los Blancos squad which is currently being coached by Carlo Ancelotti.

This made PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo, furious. According to him, Real Madrid did not respect their club because they kept talking about Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid next season. Besides that, Kylian Mbappe is currently still a Les Parisiens player.
Leonardo also insists that Real Madrid should get the penalty from the statements they have made. And Leonardo believes that Madrid had illegal communications with Mbappe to make him move on a free transfer at the end of this season.
“In Madrid they deny that, but I think Real Madrid have been trying to contact Mbappe (as a free agent) for a while,” Leonarda told Gazzeta dello sport. “They have been talking openly about Mbappe for two years. They should be punished.”
“The Real Madrid coach, board and players have been talking about Kylian. I think it’s part of their plan. It’s disrespectful.” Leonardo thought so after Florentino Perez issued a surprise statement that Madrid were close to reaching an agreement with Mbappe and could sign the striker in the January 2022 transfer window. “In January, we will get news about Mbappe. We hope January 1 everything can be resolved,” Perez told Spanish media.
However, not long after that statement was immediately clarified by Perez to RMC Sport. Perez said that PSG misinterpreted his statement. “My comment was misinterpreted. What I said, we wait until next year to find out more. We always respect PSG, who have a good relationship with us,” said Perez.
