Conor McGregor was arrested on Sunday night in Miami, Florida after he stopped one of his fans from taking a picture.
The Irishman is accused of stealing a cell phone from a man who wanted to take a photo of him outside a nightclub in Miami. He then destroyed the device by stomping it several times, then picked it up and fled with it. The incident was filmed by surveillance cameras.
McGregor, who has already struggled with US justice in a case of aggression, was arrested shortly after by the Miami police. He was released after paying a $ 12,500 bail.
The 30-year-old fighter injured two other fighters in April 2018 in New York after a UFC press conference he was not invited to.
He arrested by the New York police and then released, he pleaded guilty in late July to disturbing public order in a Brooklyn court, which saved him from trial and jail. He had agreed to do community service and self-management training.
Former UFC light weight champion remains the main attraction of the UFC even if he lost his last fight in an octagon against the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov in October.
McGregor’s name has been in the mouths of many fighters recently. Everybody is looking for a red panty night by the looks of things. Anthony Pettis has a few big names on his list but ‘The Notorious’ was at the top. He had a few things to say about McGregor.
“That’s a fun fight,” he told MMA Junkie after a stunning knockout of Stephen Thompson (14-4-1 MMA, 9-4-1 UFC) in the headliner of UFC on ESPN+ 6, which took place Saturday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.” Pettis said.
“(He’s) another guy that I love his style, another guy that’s going to be a fun style to fight. If he wants to do it, let’s do it. I’m not afraid to fight anybody.” Pettis added.
