The UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor on Thursday reacted to Floyd Mayweather after posting a cryptic video of himself simply entering into an MMA cage via Twitter.
The “Money Fight” on August 27, announced immediate retirement from world professional boxing after beating McGregor in the 10th round at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, last year.
“Hahahaha … very good. Keep up the good work my son.” McGregor posted on his Twitter account when he watched Mayweather’s video entering the cage at Syndicate MMA.
In December 2017, Mayweather claimed to have received a crazy offer from the UFC for a cage fight. In a video broadcast live on FightHype.com, the 50 times champion revealed to fans that he could return to the UFC for a US$ 1 billion fight in the Octagon.
“They called me not long ago, and asked me to come back. I can come back live. If I want, I can immediately go back to the UFC. I can fight in an octagon.” Mayweather said.
“I can sign an agreement for 3 or 4 fights in the octagon and make a US$ 1 billion. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, and you love me, and I love you.” he added.

After the fight, McGregor had saluted Mayweather and claimed that the American could excel at the UFC. However, with no experience in Mixed Martial Arts, the latter could lose his invincibility if he ventures into another fight.

Showtime director Stephan Espinoza on the other hand, he told to TMZ Sports that the two fighters will definitely be discussing a Mayweather’s potential fight in MMA.
“It’s going to be our topic of conversation. There is a chance, no matter what he has in mind, he makes it happen.” Espinoza said.
“Floyd wanted the fight with McGregor to become an event. So, if this is what he has in mind, the fight will be done. He is no longer a guy who cashes an amount in the 8 figures. He’s a guy wins in 9 digits.” Espinoza added.
Showtime, the exclusive US-based broadcaster, had announced that Mayweather and the MMA star McGregor have generated more than US$ 600 millions in revenue.
