Corinthians dreams of being able to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to his club

One of the Brazilian clubs, Corinthians dreams of being able to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to his club. This desire was expressed directly by the president of the club, Duilio Monteiro Alves, who continues to follow the rumours of the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

As is well known, Cristiano Ronaldo has recently been rumoured to be leaving Manchester United. The 37-year-old striker is reportedly no longer at the club for various reasons.

One of the strongest allegations is because Manchester United is absent from the 2022-2023 Champions League. This made Cristiano Ronaldo insist on leaving Old Trafford.

In fact, Cristiano Ronaldo had missed several pre-season tests for the club’s 2022. Once back at the club, he actually had an argument with the coach, Erik ten Hag, and went home first when Manchester United were held to a draw by Rayo Vallecano (1-1) in pre-season testing, on Sunday, 31 July last.

Seeing the situation, Duilio Monteiro Alves said he was monitoring the Portuguese striker. According to him, it is not impossible that Corinthians can get Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature.

“Aren’t Willian and Renato Augusto here? In football everything is possible and I have an obligation to give my best for Corinthians,” he continued, giving two examples of former European players who joined Corinthians.

(The Corinthians are called one of the most successful clubs in South America) “Is that even possible? I do not know. We didn’t try, we didn’t investigate, there’s no such possibility, but we’re watching it. Imagine him suddenly wanting to play in Brazil,” he added.

If Cristiano Ronaldo really changes direction and moves to Corinthians, he will join one of the South American giants. So far, Corinthians is one of the most successful clubs in Brazil. The club nicknamed The Timao is known to have collected a total of 16 titles. Two of these were the Club World Cup (2000 and 2012).
