It seems that age has no bearing on Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, as his records continue to increase even as he ages. The Manchester United superstar has scored 4 goals in the last 3 matches against Newcastle, West Ham and Young Boys.
Cristiano is a sprinter. When in full speed, he’s one of the fastest players in the world. His acceleration is not that bad either, but he’s more fast than quick.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus striker even showed some forte speed breakthroughs, reaching a top speed of 32.51 km/h in a sprint. That meant he finished the game as the fastest ball runner on the ground, beating Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jarrod Bowen.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side snaked a late win against West Ham on Sunday. Said Benrahma gave the Hammers the lead before Cristiano Ronaldo equalised before Jesse Lingard then scored the winner in the 89th minute.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was looking forward to this he had a little speech last night to the boys. Its about sensing the moment, feeling the danger. He’s evolved into a proper team player,” Solskjaer said.
“You’ve got to be there to score the goals and he knows where the goals are getting scored. Not many players in the world who have scored more goals than him.” he added.
Ronaldo may get the ball more than most, but he, like all players, still spends the majority of his time without it, making runs, hiding in space, creating space for his teammates. It’s an integral part of his game that we know almost nothing about.
Thanks to Ronaldo’s contributions, United are currently top of the Premier League with 13 points alongside Liverpool and Chelsea, with the Red Devils extending their record to 29 unbeaten Premier League away games.
