Cristiano Ronaldo Returns to the Santiago

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the Bernabeu for the first time on Sunday night since leaving Real Madird. Zinedine Zidane’ side moved on the top of LaLiga table after beating Barca 2-0 in front of their home supporters.

Nine years after joining Real from Manchester United, Ronaldo departed for Juventus for €100m in 2018- his final appearance for Los Blancos coming in the Champions League final win over Liverpool.

Juventus have been consistent in Europe, and have been in two finals recently. They have one of Europe’s best defences, and have quite a few young, promising players.

Ronaldo became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer during his stint at Real, also playing a key role in their four European Cup wins in five seasons. He has lifted 27 trophies in his career so far, including five UEFA Champions League titles – a trophy Juventus last won in 1996.

According to the Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre, Ronaldo is desire to return to his old club in this summer. If this claim is true, all Real fans will welcome their former striker very well.

“I know for sure that Cristiano has a desire to return to Real Madrid. He felt the affection of Madrid when he came to Bernabeu, he was excited.” Aguirre said.

“Now he is totally focused on Juventus, but in football, never say never. I don’t know what will happen in the future, nobody can know.” Aguirre added.

During his times at Real, Ronaldo puts himself in a position to be compared with Lionel Messi every single day.

Ronaldo chose Juventus because he knows it’s the perfect memorable career. The 35-year-old striker helped Juve win their eight consecutive Serie A title during his firs season in Turin. He scored 36 goals in 60 appearances for the Bianconeri.

However, in last December, Ronaldo has privately admitted to former his team-mates that he regrets leaving Real for Juventus.
