Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to leave Juventus. One of his decisions was to leave the Turin giants because he was upset that his team suffered a 2-1 defeat in the first leg of the 2020-2021 Champions League last 16 against Porto at the Do Drago Stadium.
Porto opened the scoring through Mehdi Taremi’s goal after only two minutes. Moussa Marega doubled their lead in the 46th minute.
While Juventus was only able to reply to one goal through Federico Chiesa in the 82nd minute. This result makes Juventus’ move to the next round difficult because they have to win at Juventus Stadium or the Allianz Stadium in the upcoming second leg.
The defeat made Cristiano Ronaldo very disappointed. The Calciomercato report, claims that Cristiano Ronaldo has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, to find him a new club to join next season.
Ronaldo’s current contract will expire in June 2022. He has become the most fertile player with the Bianconerri — the nickname of Juventus.
Despite being 36 years old, Ronaldo has scored 23 goals in 27 games for Juventus in all competitions this season. However, the Portuguese player is unlikely to lift the Italian League trophy with Juventus this season.
Juventus are currently in fifth place in the Italian League with 42 points. They are 10 points behind Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, the former Italian national team striker, Antonio Cassano, views Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as a selfish player. Therefore, Cassano is not too surprised when Juventus are currently experiencing difficulties.
“I always say, although he is a phenomenon and has scored a billion goals, with the Andrea Pirlo football idea he could have a hard time,” said Cassano.
“He scores goals per game. That’s true, but he struggled with Andrea’s idea. He’s always a bit selfish, he doesn’t care about other people who score goals,” continued the former AC Milan and Real Madrid striker.
