Cristiano Ronaldo has long been known as one of the footballers with the ‘craziest’ training methods. Ronaldo trained very hard to reach the highest level in the world and has maintained that position for years.
The story of Ronaldo’s career journey is indeed interesting and inspiring. Ronaldo has a talent for playing football, but that doesn’t mean everything went easily for him.
Little Ronaldo lived in a poor family in Madeira, Portugal. His mother had to work extra hard to encourage Ronaldo to go to the Sporting academy when he was young, Ronaldo’s potential is indeed great.
So when he got the opportunity and facilities, Ronaldo didn’t waste it. He trained extra hard, forging himself until he reached a level that made other athletes shake their heads.
Ronaldo became the most expensive footballer in history with a fee of €94 million when he moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009. His contract with Real Madrid, under the terms of which he is paid €21 million per year (after tax), makes him the highest paid footballer in the world. He is considered by some (such as FIFA and myself) to be the best footballer in the world today.
Ronaldo’s Training and Discipline
Ronaldo not only trains hard, but also trains properly and according to his needs. He also uses various technologies to train.
The first important thing that Ronaldo controls is his diet. He almost never consumes alcoholic beverages. Ronaldo also doesn’t smoke, doesn’t have tattoos.
Ronaldo’s food menu is arranged in such a way as to keep his condition fit and meet his body’s needs to then undergo hard training.
Ronaldo trains extra in the gym. He knows what to do after training hard, such as soaking in ice water, then taking a warm shower. Everything is done based on sports science, to keep his body in top condition.
Imitated by Madrid Players
Recently, AS reported that there are many Real Madrid players who imitate Ronaldo’s training method, called the ‘Cristiano Method’. They pay attention to many things, from nutrition to training menus.
During this summer vacation, there are many young Madrid players who continue to train and maintain their physical condition, not lazing around enjoying food and alcohol or the like.
Ronaldo’s influence in Madrid is very big, even though he is no longer there. Ronaldo knows that his body is an asset and he takes care of it properly.
Now, young Madrid players are starting to imitate Ronaldo’s ‘crazy training’ method.
