The IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois has voiced his opinion on Tyson Fury recent performance and his career.
He thinks that after the defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in their second fight, Fury should hang up the gloves.
According to Dubois, he declared that Fury has extraordinarily performed during his carrier, and the fighter possessed multiple title defences and fought with top contenders.
“Tyson has done so much for the sport and has been a champion for years. Infrequently, you should advance while still in your prime, that is, remain stagnant and let others pass you.” Dubois said.
In rematch bout, Usyk has defended his heavyweight champion through a decision over Fury on Saturday, in Saudi Arabia.
All of the three judges had it 116-112 in favour of Usyk and the Ukrainian has now beaten Fury consecutively.
After the Fury defeat, the bout with Anthony Joshua has been in the mix. The two fighters are basically established names in the heavyweight category and a fight between them will definitely generate phenomenal hype.
For years fans has wished for the clash between Fury and Joshua and now the “Gypsy King” is aiming to reclaim his throne, this fight may be crucial for both fighters.
Joshua who was a champ from 2016 to 2019 and then from 2019 till 2021 was knocked down four times last time and was beat in round 5 KO by Dubois in September in front of 96,000 at Wembley Stadium.
At this stage of the game, Joshua would rather set his sights on a match with Fury than go ahead and take on Dubois in rematch.
Promoter Eddie Hearn, recently said he wanted the bout to be a two fight affair, one fight in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, and the second in Joshua’s home city London either at Wembley stadium or the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
