Darwin Nunez Agrees to Join Liverpool? Check out the Facts

Darwin Nunez, Benfica striker has reportedly agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

Darwin Nunez will most likely be anchored to Anfield this summer.

Darwin Nunez is a 22-year-old player who has become the Portuguese League’s top scorer this season.

As a result, this achievement makes Darwin Nunez one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after performing well in the 2021/2022 season.

In total, Darwin Nunez scored 34 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are believed to be ready to make a formal offer for the Uruguay international, which is valued at around £85m.

Quoted by contentPedia from the Sportsmole page, an agreement on personal terms has been reached with Liverpool.

As a result, the name Darwin Nunez had time to occupy a trending topic on social media Twitter.

The Reds are now reportedly close to agreeing to Benfica’s asking fee. Nunez has also been heavily linked by other Premier League clubs such as Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Spanish giants Real Madrid are also included in the list of fans. But it seems the South American would prefer a move to Liverpool.

Nunez’s potential to move to Anfield is even greater if Sadio Mane leaves, who is now being linked with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Liverpool actually do not mind releasing Mane to Bayern. However, they only want to sell Mane at a price of 42.75 million pounds.

According to German media reports, Bayern have twice made official offers to land Mane. However, the Reds rejected the two offers because they did not match the prices they set.

Bayern will send Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic to England to expedite the negotiation process with the Reds. Both will reportedly land on Merseyside in the next day or two.

Liverpool have been left behind by Divock Origi, one of the substitutes who often makes the difference when he comes on. They are also preparing to lose Sadio Mane who wants a new club.

Currently, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are left on Liverpool’s front lines. The arrival of Nunez will add to Liverpool’s front-line options.

Klopp could have a new face up front after the last few years relying too much on Salah, Mane and Firmino.

The arrival of Nunez is predicted to be a new era for Liverpool strikers with Diaz and Jota.
