Defeat Morocco, France Opportunity to Defend Title

The 2022 World Cup semifinals will bring together France against Morocco on Thursday (15/12/2022).

The match was won by France with a score of 2-0.

France’s winning goals were scored by Theo Hernandez in the 5th minute and Kolo Muani in the 79th minute.

With this result, France will qualify for the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina.

Meanwhile, Morocco will battle for third place against Croatia.

The first half just started France immediately took the initiative to attack.

The result was in the 5′ minute France was able to score against Morocco through Theo Hernandez.

This goal made Theo Hernandez the first opposing player to score against Morocco.

Morocco attempted to equalize through a shot from outside the Azzedine Ounahi penalty box.

However, his shot was parried by Hugo Lloris.

In the 45th minute, Morocco almost equalized through Jawad El Yamiq.

Jawad El Yamiq fired an acrobatic shot at which, unfortunately, still hit the French national team goalpost.

France managed to add a goal in the 79th minute through Randal Kolo Muani.

Kolo Muani, who entered as a substitute, immediately scored a goal and changed the score to 2-0 in favor of France.

Morocco refused to give up and continued to attack the French defense.

Sturdy French defense makes it difficult for Morocco to score goals.

The 2-0 score lasted until the long whistle sounded by the referee marking the end of the match.

With this result France has qualified for the final round and has the opportunity to defend the World Cup title.

Theo Hernandez said he will work hard to win the final.

“Playing two World Cup finals in a row is an amazing moment,” Hernandez said as quoted by espn.

“We did a good job, it was difficult, but we are in the final. We will work hard to win this final,” he continued.

French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “very proud” of France after watching the game with FIFA chairman Gianni Infantino.

“I feel very proud of my country. I am very happy,” Macron told reporters after the game, as quoted by espn.

“I want the French people to enjoy this simple happiness,” he continued.
