The Chicago Bulls on Friday beat the Atlanta Hawks 112-108 at home. DeMar DeRozan was the man of the game with 37 points, six rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes on the field. His finishing rate is very high, up to 71% when he shoots 15 out of 21 successful shots.
The match against the Hawks made DeRozan the player with the most games scoring at least 20 points in a half, as he exploded to 22 points in the first half.
DeRozan made 11 shots and entered 9 in the first inning, in addition to 4 free-throw situations. Thus, from the beginning of the season, he had 16 matches where he scored at least 20 points or more in a half.
Along with Ja Morant, DeRozan holds the NBA’s record this season for the most 20+ innings. It is an admirable record that shows the tenacity of these two stars. It can be said that DeRozan is leading the Chicago Bulls to the top of the East.
Despite Alex Caruso’s injury, the Bulls remained at the top of the table and filled with the opportunity to win the first title after the reign of Michael Jordan.
All have great contributions from DeRozan. Needless to say, he is the number one inspiration of the team.
DeRozan had set two other remarkable records in shorts. The first is 2 buzzer phases (successfully thrown to help the home team turn the tide in the last second) in 2 consecutive matches. In NBA history, no one has done this extraordinary thing.
By the recent victory over the Sacramento Kings, he had 38 points, thereby becoming the first player in NBA history to have 7 consecutive games scoring over 35 points and owning a shot hit rate of over 50%.
