Former NBA player DeMarcus Cousins has revealed the reasons behind the Phoenix Suns’ performance decline in this current season. The main concern at centre position stems from the current player lineup structure.
Phoenix Suns hold the 11th position in Western Conference and have accumulated 27 wins along with 30 losses.
Ten games within the last thirteen games have ended in defeat for the Suns while five Suns players reached the 20-point mark during their latest clash against Memphis Grizzlies.
“They have no rhythm, no chemistry, no camaraderie. It’s just a bunch of big names that don’t fit together. And it shows on the court,” Cousins said.
“I don’t think the Suns should keep anybody, not even Devin Booker. They should go into a total rebuild.
“They’re going to get a lot in return for Booker, for Kevin Durant, too. Bradley Beal, though, is tough to trade.
“He makes a lot of money and has a no-trade clause. But they have to change everything.” Cousins added.
The NBA season shows excellent performances from both Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
In the current season the shooting guard averages a total of 26.1 points while maintaining four rebounds and making six assists.
Throughout last year until his Paris Olympics victory the player has remained in good condition and simultaneously enhanced defensive abilities.
Durant scores 26.9 points per game while sharing six rebounds between his scores with 4.2 assists in his statistics.
The Phoenix Suns attempted a trade with the mindset of DeMarcus Cousins during the NBA trade deadline by exchanging their key players. The plan in this trade was to get Jimmy Butler through trading Kevin Durant.
The board’s best objective would have involved trading Bradley Beal while bringing in Butler yet his contract contained a provision that made this arrangement impossible.
