It was a perfect evening for Barca’s new palyer Ousmane Dembele. The winger, who was recruited from Borussia Dortmund for 105 million euros plus 42 million euros bonuses, took his debut in the side of Ernesto Valverde’s side.
Entering the game in the 68th minute in a favorable context, the former Rennais player participated in the party 5-0 of Barca against Espanyol on behalf of the third day of Spanish La Liga.
However, before even really treading the lawn of the Camp Nou, Dembele was entitled to a superb welcome from the Catalan fans. At the time of his entry, the winger had the honor to be acclaimed by the socios.
“I felt good, I had good sensations, in a super stadium with a great public. It’s great victory,” Dembele said after the game on Saturday.
Introduced by Barca’s manager Ernesto Valverde, the 20-year-old young talented took advantage of the space left by the defending opopents to enjoy. Multiplying the races, Dembele was rewarded for his efforst by delivering a real caviar to Luis Suarez on the last goal of his team.
“I saw that Luis Suarez had a good race at the second post. He was all alone and I managed to put the ball to him,” Dembele said. “Suarez said to me to give him the ball and he would score. I did it and he scored, I’m very happy.” the French added.
Valverde, admitted he didn’t fail to show the performance of his new signing this summer. He still credited Dembele’s debut on last Saturday.
“I credited his debut when it was not that easy,” Valverde said. “The idea is that he gets to know his partners by winning minutes on the ground. I saw him with confidence and we expect a lot from him.”
“The locker room welcomed him, his team-mates know that he is young, with great qualities, but that it is also the most expensive player in the history of Barca. One thing is for sure, Ousmane Dembele is the perfect start to his Barcelona adventure.” Valverde added.

Before joining Barcelona, Dembele assisted 21 in all competitons for Borussia Dortmund last season. At his new club, Dembele hoped that he will do more for the Blaugrana.
