The shocking news for the world of Dota 2 in the world came from Tigers. After officially introducing Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung as a new player a few days ago, they again brought the legend of Dota 2 namely Danil “Dendi” Ishutin. It didn’t take long for Tigers to look for substitute for Jai “Ah Jit” Lay Son and Muhammad “InYourDream” Rizky departure.
Yep, this news came directly from Tigers fanpage who announced their fifth player. This was the first time in Dendi’s career in Dota 2 where he finally changed to a uniform other than Natus Vincere. Surely the news is quite surprising, who would have thought Dendi would play in Southeast Asian region team. After being inactive at Na’vi, players with Pudge’s mainstay hero had played as standard players in several European teams, such as FlyToTheMoon, Vega Squadron to Team Secret. But now Dendi actually plays on a team far enough from his native Ukraine.
Together with Na’Vi, Dendi won The International 2011 and won runners-up at The International 2012 and 2013. Even though a continuous roster change occurred, Dendi still stayed at Na’Vi.
Unfortunately their failure to qualify for TI7 and TI8 made Dendi finally decide to be inactive from the roster until finally he officially moved to the team that won this Bucharest Minor.
Dendi’s presence certainly made the roster Tigers even more calculated. Besides Mushi who has no doubt about his achievements and experiences, they also have 1437 and MoonMeander who are still with Tigers.
Here is the current Dota 2 from Tigers roster:
Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung
Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
David “Moonmeander” Tan
Kenny “Xepher” Deo
Theeban “1437” Siva
Of course Xepher who is still with Tigers gets a very valuable experience and is fortunate to be able to learn directly from the two legends who are new Tigers.
Interestingly, Xepher himself had fought Dendi when he was still in the Rex Regum Qeon uniform in the Indonesia Minor event which was held in April 2018. Of course they were unexpectedly now becoming teammates.
But through the official website of Natus Vincere it was reported that Dendi was only present as a standin.
Dendi’s presence certainly caught his attention, because he became one of the famous CIS players and wanted to play in the SEA region.
If indeed it presents achievements and matches, it is not impossible that the management of Tigers will have a permanent status for Dendi.
Tigers hoped that both Mushi and Dendi who had been rivals for a long time and had a mountain of experience, were able to become new cogs that could bring Tigers to compete with other teams, continue to grow and win even bigger tournaments.
Is the presence of two legendary players able to bring Tigers to roar on the SEA scene even to the world?
