Tyson Fury made his WWE debut as he beat Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in last year.
But the Brit’s commitment to consistency in his character can’t be questioned as. Fury and Deontay Wilder fought to a split draw back in December 2018.
While he seemed to outbox Wilder for the majority of the fight, the WBC champion scored two knockdowns, the first in the 9th and the second in the 12th round.
Speaking to reporters, Wilder said he vows to destroy Fury on 22nd February 2020 at Grand MGM, in Las Vegas.
“I’m prepared more than ever for this fight. I told Fury two years ago I was going to baptize him. And I did just that. Rising up is part of the baptism and he did just that. I told him he was going go “TIMBER” and he did just that.” Wilder said.
“This time around, it’s a different story. This time around, this is called ‘unfinished business.’ This time around, he won’t be able to get up.
“And since he’s in WWE, I’m going to make sure he goes right out the ring and I might get up on the top of the buckle and come down with a flying elbow kick. Who knows, who knows? But I can’t wait this fight.” Wilder added.
Fury is reckoned by some to be the lineal heavyweight champion based on his 2015 defeat of Wladimir Klitschko. The ‘Gypsy King’ never legitimately retired in the sense that he came back to compete so soon after the announcement.
“I am going to get that green belt. I am also going to get the Ring Magazine and I am also going to keep my lineal championship too and, if he wants to rematch again, no problem. You beat a man once, you beat him again, you beat him three times in a row.” Fury said.
