American boxer Deontay Wilder (38-0-0, 37 KOs), was present ringside during the remarkable performance of Anthony Joshua, a knockout victory against Wladimir Klitschko, at the Wembley Stadium, on April 29.
Next, Wilder wants a London mega fight against Anthony Joshua. Wilder said his duel against Joshua could attract a crowd exceeding 100,000 fans and that their fight could generate half a billion in terms of total revenue.
He also claimed that a duel between him and current IBF, IBO, and WBA heavyweight champion Joshua, would even bigger fight than recent one announced between Canelo Alvarez against Genady Golovkin, for the middleweight titles.
Wilder claims his remarks on the basis that their duel will involve two undefeated heavyweight champions with an exceptional combined knockout record while the other fight will be one between two boxers in a lower weight category.
“Yes, but let’s see. You’re talking about smaller guys,” Wilder said. “You know, when you talk about big guys, when a fight involves two big guys, you can never know if the fight can go beyond a round. You also do not know who is going to be knockout.
“This is what personifies the division of the heavy. People come to watch the fighting to see knockouts when it comes to this kind of fighting. It’s ok to see skillful and fast paced boxers, little guys who hit each other and all that.
“Sometimes you can see a knockout, but other times no, you see? Theses two guys guarantee a fight where the power will be at the rendezvous, mainly GGG, but you know, the styles are always fighting.
“So we do not know if there will be a knockout or not. We know it will be a good fight. It should be at least, with boxers showing this kind of cards, a very good physical shape and what they have accomplished historically. Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua, let’s see! Let’s see! And let’s see.” he added.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old boxer hopes to face WBO champion Joseph Parker, in a unification heavyweight titles in this July. In the event of an agreement to set up this fight and Wilder will be victorious against Parker (23-0-0, 18 KOs), the American boxer will then want to fight Joshua next year.
On the other hand, as stipulated in his contract, Anthony Joshua will have to grant a rematch against Klitschko if this option failed this year.
