Dota 2: MidOne Out of OG Esports!

Dota 2: MidOne Out of OG Esports!

OG and their carry player, MidOne officially said goodbye. The two-time TI Champions announced this via their official website, stating that this adjustment was necessary even though they had given their all.

In a blog post on their website, OG mentioned that the results in recent months have been quite difficult, and as a result, “The team as a whole felt the need to get some fresh air between their ranks.”

Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng’s career at OG ended after nearly 14 months, when he joined the team in January 2020, initially as an offlaner and then moving to the carry role.

After a difficult result at DPC EU 2021 Season 1: the newly completed Upper Division where OG finished fifth and missed the first DPC Major in 14 months, OG fans seemed to ask for a change in the squad list.

MidOne has been at the forefront of the list and the community asked OG to replace him and now OG has decided to part ways with this Malaysian player.

While mentioning, “Talent and naughty energy bring a lot of joy to everyone around him.” The organization thanks the player for all he has done for the team.

Captain OG Johan “N0tail” Sundstein’s comments on parting with MidOne:

“I want to thank Yeik for his hard work, and for the sacrifices he has made for OG and for the Team. He is an extraordinary player, and unfortunately we couldn’t have had better results together. Thank you Yeik, and good luck! ”

Ceb’s comments about the departure of their carry player:

“Competitive synergy is something very unique and complex. Yeik is one of the best players we’ve played, and we worked really hard for months and made lots of improvements, but unfortunately it never “worked out”. That happens sometimes. We wish to wish him all the best in the future and hope he finds a great team where he can shine. “

OG has not announced a replacement for MidOne as of now but it has been announced that they will announce it as DPC Season 2 draws near.
