Until six months ago, Marc Marquez, almost over the competition with a sign of his great domination, a title in full control in 2016 he capitalized to the maximum the errors of his rivals. However, since November, everything seems to have changed.
Indeed, before his arrival at Yamaha, there were two ways to read the performances of Maverick Vinales at Suzuki since without any other reference, one could wonder who the machine or the pilot was at and extremely good level.
It is clear that since his arrival at Yamaha, doubt is no longer possible since with his total domination of the preseason and his two inaugural victories, Maverick Vinlaes has amply demonstrated that it was Suzuki who limited and not reversed.
While supporters have welcomed this new deal with some satisfaction, there is no doubt however that Marc Marquez feeling his throne somewhat wavering would like as soon as possible reaffirm his authority. And the chance of the schedule will give him a dreamed opportunity in a week since the MotoGP paddock will drop his grips to Austin MotoGP where the Spanish is unbeaten for 4 seasons.
Although Marquez defends himself from having the pressure of his shoulders, he knows that in Texas he must win, he must reassert his authority.
“I did not anticipate such a championship start but we still have time to reverse the trend. We are fighters and we have to change things,” Marquez told media.
“I have very good statistics in Austin but that does not mean that I will arrive and win. It would of course be good to get my first podium of the year on this circuit. Anyway, in Argentina, last year it had been pretty good and this time not that much.
“Every race we face it with the best mentality possible and over the weekend we see how far we can get. The pressure is always the same. We fell when we were fighting for victory, so the level is there. We must not change things.” he added.

On the other side, Maverick Vinales who with his mattress in advance, can afford the luxury of remaining calm but nevertheless, if he were to win only one this season, he bets that he would like to win in Austin.
“In view of Austin, we still need to improve some things, especially braking, because cornerinf is very important,” Vinales told media.
“Anyway, it’s a track that fits my style of driving, but I have not been there yet with Yamaha. It’s a good test to see if we can resist Marquez, and that always motivate me.” he added.
