Dovizioso Wins Extreme Race at the MotoGp Valencia 2018

Andrea Dovizioso won the MotoGP Valencia 2018 series or the 2018 MotoGP closing race which took place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, Sunday (18/11).

Alex Rins who took the second starting position immediately shot since the flag start was raised at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. While Maverick Vinales who inhabited the pole position was unable to display the best performance and continued to experience a downgrade.

The race that took place in the pouring rain made several riders fall, beginning with Aleix Espargaro on the third three lap bend. Rins continued to lead behind Andrea Dovizioso who faithfully trailed second.

Marc Marquez who suffered shoulder problems and started from fifth place competing with Pol Espargaro. Marquez was able to overtake Espargaro on the fourth lap and finished third. On the seventh lap, Pol Espargaro was seen off the track while Marquez fell and was certain he could not continue the race. Previously Danilo Petrucci also had an accident on the sixth lap.

With the fall of Marquez, Rossi who managed to ovetake one by one rider from the position of the 16th place was ranked third, followed by Vinales. Entering the ninth lap, Andrea Iannone’s turn was forced out of the race.

The pole sitter is also unable to control the motor on a wet track. Vinales lost control of the 13th lap.

While many riders fell, Rins, Dovizioso, and Rossi continued to compete in the top three and create long distances with riders behind them. On lap 14, when there were left 16 riders, Rins was too wide at the corner to be used advantage by Dovizioso and Rossi. On lap 15, the red flag was hoisted and the race was decided to be stopped temporarily, the riders headed for the paddock.

The restart which is based on the position on lap 13 made Rins in pole position followed by Dovizioso and Rossi.

After the restart, three leading riders repeat the race again on the wet track. On the second lap of the remaining 14 laps, Dovizioso managed to overtake Rins. Rossi was following in the footsteps of Dovizioso to race overtake Rins when the race left eight more laps. But Rossi failed to maintain his position because he fell on lap 23 or five laps before the finish line.

Dovizioso emerged as the winner in the MotoGP Valencia 2018 race, followed by Alex Rins and Pol Espargaro as occupants of the podium.

Dovizioso also established himself as the second ranked rider in this season’s standings with a total score of 245.
