Duel Marquez vs Biggest Enemy in MotoGP

Duel Marquez vs Biggest Enemy in MotoGP

Marc Marquez finally found his biggest enemy in MotoGP racing. The enemy was an injured right arm that had not yet recovered.

After Marquez won race after race, season after season, Marquez is predicted to smoothly win the world title in MotoGP 2020.

Marquez is believed to be able to quickly match Rossi’s world champion record. Even the talks have gone further because Marquez is believed to be able to pursue Giacomo Agostini’s world title record.

But it turns out that Marquez found his biggest enemy, namely the right arm injury. After the accident at the Spanish MotoGP, Marquez still intends to return the following week to the Andalusian MotoGP.

The decision was said to be fatal because Marquez’s injury got worse. After undergoing the second operation, Marquez had to give up the 2020 MotoGP world champion to fall into the arms of other riders because he couldn’t compete for the rest of the season.

However, it turned out that Marquez could not relieve himself and was ready to return to appear 100 percent in preparation for MotoGP 2021. Marquez had to undergo a third operation and preparations for MotoGP 2021 were automatically interrupted.

If the recovery is smooth after surgery, Marquez is targeted to appear fit in the inaugural series of Qatar MotoGP 2021. However, Honda is said to have prepared an alternative by installing Andrea Dovizioso if Marquez still needs recovery time.

This condition makes Marquez now compete against the biggest enemy he finally found, namely an injured right arm. Marquez and the team must not be careless in making decisions.

Mistakes when rushing to appear in the Andalusian MotoGP must not be repeated. Marquez must be able to appear when his condition is 100 percent.

But it also carries the risk that Marquez might miss the early series, which means that he has already lost from his competitors.

Not only competing against injury recovery, Marquez also has to fight against physical condition readiness, motor adaptation, to the atmosphere of the race. This is temporarily missing from Marquez, who has been absent for one season from the race.

Honda also experienced the impact of Marquez’s absence in motor development for MotoGP 2021 because they could not get advice and draw data from Marc Marquez’s performance the previous season.

When Marquez was absent from MotoGP, there were drastic changes in this most prestigious motorcycle race.

Satellite teams can consistently compete in each series that is played, not only occasionally giving surprises. The existing competition is more evenly distributed and is no longer dominated by the factory team as before.

From the factory team, Suzuki is much more dangerous than before. This was proven by the success of Joan Mir to become the 2020 MotoGP world champion.

When Marquez returns, he will be faced with a different main rival. From the generation of Valentino Rossi and Andrea Dovizioso to the generation of Joan Mir, Quartararo, Jack Miller and Alex Rins.

There are many assumptions that say Marquez would easily have won the 2020 MotoGP had he not been injured. This certainly needs proof in MotoGP 2021 along with the impact of injuries that may still be experienced by ‘Baby Aliens’.

This change is an interesting thing to look forward to in the upcoming 2021 MotoGP. But before Marc Marquez plunges into this tight battle, Marquez must be able to defeat the biggest enemy that has been bothering him for the past six months, namely his right arm injury.
